Hehe, sure! Might be a little wibbly wobbly, my brain’s a little fried right now. I’m gonna put it under a readmore cause it got a little long.#asks #anonymous #GFH
Oh gosh that pleases me so much that you like these losers :’) They are a lot of fun to work with, so if I get to show ‘em off a bit that suits me just fine!
On that note I’m not sure how tangential this universe is in comparison to Synn’s GFH universe is; to be fair I tried to avoid as much similarity as possible to avoid a clone, so I’m not sure if the worlds would line up? But it’s not like they’re stuck in my universe, it’s an interstellar galaxy after all!
If you’d like to put them in the archive I’m all for it :D#asks #anonymous #plus they like to travel #/dorkiness x 1000
I wouldn’t say deliberately, no. I intentionally used code-names for everyone in this ‘verse because I always bogged myself down with naming before. This time it was very easy, I organized the names by various states, provinces, moons (both real and fictional). I had been playing Skyrim so the names came to me and stuck.
So I guess, uh, technically those are not their real names. It’s an experiment and it’s working beautifully for me o3o
Heh, GFH stands for “Guns for Hire”, inspired by Synnesai’s RvB AU of the same name. Initially it was just a name so I could ramble on to my friend about it without saying “that universe with the nerds being mercs on a dumb planet trying to reenact Borderlands”. Guns For Hire is shorter, and like the code-names of the crew, it kinda stuck :)#asks #anonymous #you're quick
Masser and Secunda are part of a.. I guess you could call it a patchwork mercenary group that, following an interplanetary war, finds themselves on the planet Ariel (some dismal backwater world where all the lost souls go, you know, the classic one in all the sci-fi films :P). It’s a group of ex-soldiers, civilians (including a mechanic, a town physician/medic, two runaways, a mother and daughter), as well as a seasoned merc.
The Twins are the runaways, they left home halfway through their teens (for reasons they’ve never said but don’t seem particularly bothered by), and they’ve been wandering Ariel ever since, taking jobs here and there, gaining a reputation (that hasn’t really gotten them that far, but they’re young). All they want is to get off Ariel and just keep going. They’re searching for their fame and fortune, as young adults tend to do, and when they hear a woman talking about buying a ship and hightailing it out of the system, well. They signed right up.
Masser is the brawler of the Twins, she likes CQC and knives, though she’ll use a pistol too. She could be good at stealth and recon, but it bores her, so she doesn’t bother. She’s blunt, she lacks some of the social normalities, doesn’t understand them really. She’s full of raw energy, so she’s always on the go, though tempered by her more cautious brother, Secunda.
Secunda’s the spotter, he seems sedate or at least more meticulous than his sister, but he has just as much energy as her, he just uses it differently. He’s also more social than she is; Masser gets to the point, Secunda does damage control. More or less.
They’re a team, always have been, they watch each others backs and no one else’s. Until they meet Nevada.
